With headquarters in London and offices in Amsterdam, Berlin, Kraków and Warsaw – and an all-star team already in place – we’re sure you’ll fit right in. About the role:We are looking for a Senior Financial Crime Lead to make an impact working with the Compliance department. Reporting directly to the VP Compliance, this role will be responsible for creating and managing our financial crime frameworks and helping assess financial crime risk.You will have a huge amount of responsibility, autonomy, and creative freedom to help build a best-in-class Compliance function.
4+ years of experience in second-line AML roles (preferably as Financial Crime Compliance Manager or Deputy MLRO) with regulated financial institutions particularly e-money institutions (EMIs), payment institutions (PIs) or banks.
Strong understanding of UK and EU AML legal frameworks and sanctions regimes applicable to payments and e-money firms.
Ability to analyse new business and product proposals to identify AML risks and specify requirements. Ability to clearly and confidently articulate complex regulatory and AML requirements to business stakeholders.
Excellent team player with the ability to work closely with others to identify simple solutions to complex challenges.
Strong leadership skills and ability to champion AML risks throughout the business.
Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to be approved by the FCA as an EMD Individual What the role involves: Acting as SME and primary point of contact on financial crime topics and queries.
Leading to the development and implementation of the financial crime systems and controls environment.
Documenting and assessing the financial crime control framework.
Scoping and executing financial crime risk assessments, defining mitigation plans, and conducting related reporting and monitoring.
Drafting and overseeing the implementation of financial crime policies and advising on the development of related procedures.
Lead the development and delivery of timely and accurate financial crime reporting.
Leading the executing the financial crime-related elements of the Compliance Monitoring Plan (CMP).
Leading in the completion of the AML Risk Assessment and the annual MLRO report.
