Senior HSE Officer - Construction

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Role Overview:
D7 Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading multidiscipline industrial service provider, which has been excelling in the industry for over 30 years. Our client specialises in a wide range of services, supporting sectors such as power generation, petrochemicals, and construction industries. Following substantial growth in turnover this past financial year and continued expansion, they are seeking to appoint a Senior HSE Officer who will be instrumental in steering their safety initiatives forward.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will manage and enhance the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental programs. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with national and international standards and in promoting a culture of safety across the organisation. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and refine health, safety, and environmental policies and practices.
- Perform regular site audits, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Provide leadership and strategic oversight on all HSE matters.
- Conduct thorough investigations into any incidents and develop preventative strategies.
- Champion a proactive health, safety, and environmental culture at all levels within the company.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of a Level 3 NEBOSH qualification, with a preference for holders of a NEBOSH Diploma or an MSc in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Proven track record in industrial services, construction, or related sectors.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all organisational levels.
- Full UK driving license with a willingness to engage in national travel.
- Resilient, with a proven ability to manage stress and prioritize workload effectively.
