Senior Mechanical Engineer Building Services - DefenceRole: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Building Services - Defence)Location: Reading AreaSalary: Up to £60kOverviewI am looking to speak with a Mechanical Engineer with a solid understanding of Mechanical Design in relation to HVAC systems & Surveying to work client side on a variety of Defence projects for a forward-thinking and innovative International Multi-disciplinary consultancy.You will be working as the focal point between internal design teams and the contractors, ensuring designs are sufficient and contributing to the commissioning of Mechanical Systems once installed.Due to the nature of the work, there is a requirement to obtain security clearance as well as be on site for 2-3 days a week. Mentoring and training will be provided.This is a unique opportunity to bolster your skillset whilst working on interesting projects for an established consultancy.RequirementsExperience with Designing Mechanical Building Services Systems (Technical detailed designs & Writing Specifications.A Mechanical/Building Services Degree or equivalentExperience with coordinating between multiple departments/teams both internally and externally.Experience working on site (Site visits/surveys)Experience delivering projects within the defence sector (Desirable)Have knowledge of commissioning Mechanical building services systems (Desirable)Ability to gain SC clearance (Desirable).This business has a very proactive approach towards training and development of their employees and encourage their staff to be vocal about gaps in knowledge or ability so they can develop tailored and specific training programmes.
