Location: - Newcastle

Salary: - £63,000 - £68,000 basic + Car or allowance + Package

Role Description

The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a Regional Contractor who has secured additional frameworks to their existing portfolio, as such additional resources will be required.

Within the Commercial team, a Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to support the Framework being set up and then the 5-year delivery cycle. Someone who is already a Senior Quantity Surveyor and looking for that progression, once the Framework is operational then this role would be promoted into a Managing Quantity Surveyor to run the commercial team.

With a small team of commercial professionals, your role will be to manage the framework, be the client liaison and ensure the profitability of the contract. Managing the NEC contract with the commercial manager, engaging with the client on a daily basis and creating the quarterly reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

Day-to-day duties will vary but could include:

  • Support the Commercial Manager in establishing the reporting structure, systems and processes for the Framework.
  • Monitor project costs against your programme of works.
  • Support with the management of the sub-contractor costs and payments.
  • Report and Manage variations, claims, and other contractual issues that may arise.
  • Mentor and manage the quantity surveyors.
  • Act as the quality control over the Quantity surveyor who will be managing projects on a day-to-day basis.
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships both internally and with external sub-contractors.

This role is office-based 3 days a week, then 2 days a week from home as you need to be around the client and your Quantity Surveyors.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Degree qualified - Ideally in Quantity Surveying
  • Experienced Quantity Surveyor on NEC forms of contract.
  • Full driving licence
