An exciting opportunity has arisen within the department for a part time (30 hours per week), ACC qualified, Specialist Clinical Coder, with enthusiasm and motivation to join our extremely busy Clinical Coding Department. The post holder will have responsibility for the clinical coding of complex acute specialties, by abstracting clinical data from the patients records and translating it into diagnostic (ICD10) and procedure (OPCS) coding classifications.Main duties of the jobWith a flexible approach to work, the post-holder will work as part of a team to meet tight deadlines. A good knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology is essential as is a good standard of education. There is the facility to work from home for a period of time, via remote access. The role will to be based across all Barts Health Hospital sites: The Royal London Whipps Cross, Newham and St Barts Hospitals, however, you will be located at one main base.
