NOTE: This is HYBRID role: 3 days /week Onsite at Stafford and 2 days REMOTE
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (mechanical, aerospace/aeronautical, manufacturing, preferred).
Engineer must have experience in 2D and 3D stress analysis, in particular structures such as cases/frames, blades, etc.) using the latest in modeling techniques, such as friction at interfaces, elastic/plastic, etc.
Engineer must be proficient in ANSYS Classic and a geometry/modeling program such as UG NX.
Prior experience with life analysis (low cycle fatigue and fracture mechanics) is preferred and the engineer should have demonstrated program management skills.
Engineer must be capable of performing the following stress analysis tasks:
Ownership of stress analysis of assigned components.
Collaborate with support functions as needed (stress analysis, life management, heat transfer, materials, design).
Ensure assigned components meet all technical and functional requirements.
