The Role and the Department
An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is capable of working on their own initiative but also comfortable working as part of a small, busy team.

withintheDisabilitySupportServicewhichispartoftheStudent Support and Wellbeing Directorate within the Colleges and Student Experience Division.
Disability Support is a University-wide service providing specialist advice and guidance for disabledstudentsandstaffworkingwithdisabledstudents,whetherthatisacademicrelatedorin another supportive capacity.The postholder will also work directly with the Director of Student Support and Wellbeing.
Thedutiesoftherolewillbe to:

Primarily,butnotexclusively,supporttheDirectorofStudentSupportandWellbeingin
such duties as co-ordinating diaries, arranging and servicing meetings, maintaining and monitoring the emails received by the Director, filtering enquiries, drafting and preparing documents and organising events.

ProvideadministrativesupportaspartoftheDisabilitySupportService Team.
·
Applyagoodworkingknowledgeofadministrativesystemstoanswerqueriesand
resolve problems from colleagues and others.
·
Contribute to the development of office administrative systems, carrying out
administrativeprocessesandensuringcontrolsareinplacetoensureaccuracyand
timeliness.
·
Anyotherdutiesthatfallwithinthescopeofthejob,asallocatedbythelinemanager
following consultation with the post holder.

What you need to demonstrate when you apply
To be considered for this role, here are the skills/experience we’re looking for:
Qualifications/Experience
1. Five GCSE’s at least Grade C or level four (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics or equivalent experience.
2. Experience of working in a busy office environment delivering front line administrative services or having relevant qualifications for the role.
3. Experience of managing time to meet deadlines and working under pressure without compromising on quality.
Skills/Abilities/Knowledge
4. Good spoken and written communication skills.
5. Good digital s kills including experience in using digital devices and apps including the internet, email, digital communication tools, Microsoft 365 applications, digital booking systems. Knowledge of financial systems, SharePoint and CRM systems would be advantageous.
6. Committed to continuing professional development.
7. Ability to solve problems and resolve straightforward issues yourself and as part of a team.
8. Ability to provide advice and guidance to a range of colleagues and customers.
Evidence of personal development to maintain skills.
Previous experience of working in a Personal Assistant capacity organising diaries; arranging meetings across different platforms; taking and circulating minutes and organising events.
Experience of working in a team.
