Exciting Opportunity for Experienced IT Support Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a fast-growing IT MSP Support company that offers great opportunities.
Experience
The ideal candidate for this role must possess a minimum of six years' experience in IT support and infrastructure positions, and must currently hold the designation of 3rd Line Engineer, Senior Lead, or 4th Line Systems Engineer.
The position primarily involves providing support for existing client infrastructure, encompassing servers, storage, networks, data, and applications, and also undertaking project-based work to enhance and refine the infrastructure environment.
You should have a deep passion for IT, with a wealth of knowledge and experience in this domain, as well as exceptional client management abilities and the capacity to liaise with stakeholders while considering their interests.
The ideal candidate should possess current CCNP, VCP, MCSE, MCP, or Azure qualifications, and ideally have an IT-related degree.
You must possess excellent communication and client management skills, and a methodological and calm approach to identifying and troubleshooting a wide range of issues with a keen attention to detail.
As the successful candidate, you will have experience in leading a small team and/or IT projects, such as network, mail, and server migrations.
You must possess the confidence to delegate tasks and provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
Key Requirements / Skills & Experience
Project and Team Management: Proficient in leading and managing both projects and technical teams. Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and oversee IT projects from initiation to completion.
Technical Expertise and Support: Capable of handling escalated calls and providing expert guidance across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Line IT Helpdesk tiers. Proficient in delivering high-level (third-line) support and overseeing infrastructure projects.
Documentation and Communication: Skilled in the creation and maintenance of comprehensive user and system documentation. Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, ensuring clear and concise interactions internally and with clients.
Issue Prioritization and Resolution: Adept at prioritizing support issues and managing time effectively under pressure. Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
Strategic Planning and Enhancement: Proficient in planning and recommending system enhancements to align IT capabilities with business needs in a cost-effective manner. Experience in managing IT projects to meet specific objectives and deadlines.
Additional Skills: Strong understanding of cloud services (particularly Azure) and advanced network management. Knowledge in automation and scripting to enhance IT efficiency. Experience with cybersecurity measures and compliance standards. Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to evolving technology trends.
