SEN Teaching Assistant

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Start Date: May 2024

Location: WS1, Walsall

Days / Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Contract: Long term to permeant for the right person

Pay: �330 to �350 per week (Take Home Pay AFTER deductions) dependant on experience & qualifications

LTF Recruitment are working on an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to begin work on a full-time basis, long term basis as soon as possible. The school is based in WS1, Walsall and the post will be full time and on a fixed term contract until July 2024 with the view to extend. The children, staff and parents work very hard together to form a successful school environment. The role will be Monday - Friday between the hours 8:30am - 3:30pm.

The role will include supporting a student in KS2 on a one-to-one basis. The child has recently been diagnosed with Autism and requires support in the classroom.

The main duties within this role will be:

  • Working alongside other staff members and providing additional support
  • Liaising with the class teacher around progress of pupils
  • Delivering interventions to groups across KS2
  • Working 1:1 with children who require additional support with speech and language
  • Being a positive member of the school staff and promoting their values

The school are only looking to accept applications from people who:

  • Hold a relevant degree or a TA qualification
  • Have at least one years' school-based experience
  • Understand how to best support SEN
  • Are capable of understanding the primary school curriculum
  • Can build relationships with pupils quickly and efficiently
  • Are reliable and hold a great attendance and punctuality record
