Welcome to Zappar! We’re an award-winning mobile Augmented Reality platform powering experiences for some of the world’s biggest brands. Our intentionally small team takes great pride in our work from the first line of code to the last pixel of our epic content, and we’re thrilled to have delivered hundreds of millions of Zappar experiences to users around the globe.
We’re looking for a creative and technically minded documentation writer/support specialist to join our team. The role involves providing front-line support to users of Zappar’s next-generation AR tools, writing documentation, working with our videographer to produce video support materials and interacting closely with the Platform team to log issues.
A large part of the role is to build 1-2-1 relationships with many ZapWorks users, helping them to solve problems that they might come across whilst using the tools.
What we’re looking for
As a Technical Support Writer at Zappar you’ll be someone who:
Loves technology and has a passion for learning new platforms.
Thrives on supporting and teaching others.
Has an excellent command of English.
Has experience using scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript).
Has experience writing technical content such as blog posts, documentation and tutorials.
Can quickly identify the root cause of issues and provide a solution.
Problem solves efficiently with a self-starter attitude.
Additionally the following points would be great to have:
Experience with 3D tools such as Maya, 3DS Max and Blender.
Knowledge of editor based platforms such as Unity or Unreal.

Our SaaS platform, ZapWorks, offers creative folk of all levels of technical ability (from primary kids in the classroom to seasoned game devs and 3D artists) the tools required to build great AR content.
It is an exciting time to join our growing team! At the end of last year, we closed our Series A funding round from top investors from the UK, USA and China. On top of that, we ran a 287% oversubscribed kickstarter campaign, for our Mixed Reality (MR) project ZapBox. As if we weren’t busy enough, Zappar have also partnered with Shazam, powering their AR offering to over one billion users. You can see why we need the extra hands!
