TIG Welder

RMS Recruitment are looking for a TIG Welder to join their clients’ team based in Ferryhill.

About this role:

This is a permanent position working a 2-shift pattern starting on day shift for induction and training. The salary for this role is £16.80 per hour.

Day Shift
Monday to Thursday 6am – 2.30pm
Friday 6am – 12.30pm

Back Shift
Monday to Thursday 2.30pm – 11pm
Friday 12.30pm – 7pm

Overview:

• Must be a confident TIG welder.
• Able to read engineering drawings without assistance.
• Work ranges from day to day using many different material types and thicknesses ranging from 0.9m – 5mm mild steel, 1mm – 10mm aluminium & 1mm – 3mm stainless steel. Please note that this role will predominately involve working with stainless steel.
• Must have at least 12 months welding experience in sheet metal or similar type environment.
• Must be comfortable reading and interpreting weld symbols.
• Must be able to work free hand as well as using jigs and fixtures.
