We are looking for a Trainee CNC Production Operative to work in our bespoke manufacturing department. Working with wood - a great opportunity to learn and use computer technology, CAD, and modern programming software in the manufacturing of bespoke timber products.

• Self-motivated.

• Can do attitude.

• Computer Literate.
• Practical.
• Can follow operating procedures and quality standards (training will be given).
• Diligent with own paperwork in completing vital information.
• Can demonstrate a good work ethic and team spirit.

Performance Objectives

• Introduction to basic operation of CNC machines
• Basic set ups of CNC, the use of fixtures and jigs and the loading of programs
• Tool technology, care, mounting and loading of high value tooling.
• Understanding cutting principles
• The use of CAM software (SolidCam) to program parts
• CAD software (SolidWorks) to draw parts and features.
• The creation of jigs, fixtures and holding devices
• Experience of various CNC machines
