We're looking for a Transport Planner in Cambridge!

Company:
The company are an independent and forward-thinking multidisciplinary consultancy, working on a wide range of diverse and challenging transportation projects. They are looking to expand their small team of Transport Planners in their Cambridge office.
This consultancy supports planning applications for new developments, helping to ensure regulatory compliance and sustainable development planning. As part of their team, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of transportation.
Role:
You will join a team of 6 working on a range of development projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Writing technical reports such as Transport Assessments, Transport statements, Travel Plans and technical notes
  • Prepare appeal documentation
  • Project manage schemes, including budget and time management
  • Client/ officer liaison and management
  • Assist with training junior members of staff
  • Complete/review/approve planning drawing requirements, such as visibility splays, vehicle tracking diagrams, access designs etc
  • Attendance at Public consultation events, project team/client meetings, appeal meetings & local highway authority meetings
  • Prepare fee proposals and tenders

Requirements:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Membership of relevant professional organisation
  • Transport planning experience
  • Proficient with the use of junction modelling software, such as Junctions 9/10 (ARCADY/PICADY).
