Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lytham

Remuneration: �30,000 - �35,000 per annum

Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time, Hybrid

Our client, a reputable organisation in the accounting industry, is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Accountant to join their team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance, and providing high-quality services.

Responsibilities:

  • Take care of a portfolio of clients, providing a compliant and professional service
  • Meet all compliance deadlines for clients and review work done by assistants
  • Prepare accounts, VAT returns, corporation tax returns, and other necessary compliance work
  • Handle bookkeeping tasks, using systems like Free Agent, Xero, and QuickBooks
  • Train junior team members and handle all client communications
  • Manage inbound and outbound post and ensure timely invoicing for clients
  • Collaborate with clients on tax planning and register them for relevant taxes with HMRC
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records for clients at Companies House
  • Process payroll for clients and provide cover for colleagues when needed
