My client based in Lichfield is currently recruiting for an Airfreight Specialist to join their dynamic team to due growth within the business

Paying up to £40,000 per annum depending on experience, this is a temp to perm role weekly pay to start.
\n
Working hours are Monday-Friday 08:00-17:00 flexibility available if needed and can be confirmed at interview
\n
You will be responsible for managing and coordinating air cargo shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery for our customers. You will liaise with airlines, customs authorities, and internal teams to provide efficient logistics solutions while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
\n
Key Responsibilities
\n
\n- Coordinate and manage end-to-end airfreight shipments, including bookings, documentation, and tracking.
\n- Communicate with airlines, freight forwarders, and customers to ensure smooth transportation
\n- Prepare and review all necessary shipping documents (e.g., airway bills, customs declarations, invoices).
\n- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
\n- Monitor shipment status and proactively address any delays or issues.
\n- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and service providers to optimise costs.
\n- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving shipment-related issues.
\n- Work closely with internal teams, including sales and warehouse operations, to streamline logistics processes.
\n- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on shipment performance, costs, and other key metrics.
\n- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in airfreight logistics.

Qualifications & Experience
\n
\n- Previous experience in airfreight operations, freight forwarding, or logistics
\n- Strong knowledge of air cargo procedures, IATA regulations, and customs requirements.
\n- Proficiency in freight management systems and MS Office applications.
\n- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
\n- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
\n- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
\n- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
