About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor

A new opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to progress their career in the residential sector with a passionate developer who are expected to double their turnover. This is a fully on-site position with 2 sites based in Colchester. The project will be on around 20 traditional build houses but they have a wide variety of other live projects ranging from heritage conversions to city penthouses.

Key responsibilities for Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

• Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor on site with project budgets and cost estimations
• Support the preparation of tender documents and contractors bids
• Compile regular reports on the financial status of the project including cost analysis and forecasts

Key Requirements for Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

• Ideally degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
• Developer/residential experience - not essential but desired
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
• Able to effectively communicate with the team and clients
