We are a leading provider of Automated Materials Handling and software solutions for warehousing operations, including storage, retrieval, order forwarding, picking, and sortation systems. With the largest UK Service Support team in the warehouse automation industry, we specialise in offering OEM support, modernisation, refurbishments, and engineering services.
The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with key decision-makers across target accounts. You'll drive new contracts, handle sales enquiries, lead presentations, and supervise proposal and cost documentation. Additionally, you'll gather crucial market intelligence on competitors, customers, and suppliers. Representing us at exhibitions and conferences, you'll be a key ambassador in positioning us as the supplier of choice in WMS and materials handling.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and target new business opportunities in the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) , intralogistics and materials handling sector.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Manage the sales cycle from initial enquiry through to closing deals.
Supervise the preparation of proposal documents and cost information.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
Requirements:
Proven experience in Business Development within the Logistics Automation industry.
Strong background in WMS, automation: Ideally my client would like to see experience selling G2P high speed picking systems such as tote shuttle or AMR, Conveyor order forwarding, AS/RS, Sortation, Systems Integration (of Warehouse execution systems).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
UK driving license required for occasional client and office visits.
