West Lancashire
Full-Time/Part-Time

The Role:

  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, including liaising with emergency services.
  • Carry out regular checks to maintain site safety and security.
  • Undertake routine inspections of the premises to identify maintenance issues.
  • Perform minor repairs, such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, or electrical tasks.
  • Liaise with external contractors for more complex maintenance tasks
  • Oversee and ensure cleanliness of designated areas, including toilets, communal spaces, and outdoor areas.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet rolls, and cleaning materials.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and safely store materials.
  • Provide assistance to staff, tenants, or visitors as needed.
  • Set up rooms or spaces for events, meetings, or activities as required.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach in all dealings with the public.
The Candidate:
  • Experience in a caretaking, facilities, or maintenance role.
  • Practical skills in minor repairs and general maintenance.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for completing logs and records.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Health and Safety training (e.g., COSHH, First Aid).
  • Relevant vocational qualification (e.g., plumbing, electrical, or joinery certification).
  • Previous experience working in a public service environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent or out-of-hours requirements.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
