The Role – CNC Turner
As a skilled CNC Turner, you'll be operating Fanuc and Mitsubishi-based CNC machines, crafting high-quality precision components from materials like Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium. Your role is crucial in ensuring aerospace components meet exact specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
\n- Setting & operating multi-axis CNC lathes
\n- Producing precision aerospace components to tight tolerances
\n- Self-checking work using in-process inspection tools
\n- Working closely with engineers and quality teams to maintain top-tier standards
\n- Keeping your workspace safe, tidy, and efficient
\n
What You Need:
\n- \nApprentice trained CNC Turner (Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing preferred)
\n- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
\n- Strong attention to detail – precision is key in aerospace!
\n- Basic computer skills – machine shop inventory is managed digitally
\n- Good communication – teamwork makes the dream work!
\n- Flexibility – adapting to new challenges and priorities
\n
Bonus Points If You Have:
\n- \n3+ years’ experience in precision engineering (not essential, but desirable!)
\n- Familiarity with multi-axis CNC machines and aerospace-grade materials
\n
