Design & Development: Drive projects from initial brief into production using advanced 3D CAD (SolidWorks) and PDM systems.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work with internal teams to ensure designs meet customer needs, cost expectations, and production feasibility.
Supply Chain Coordination: Partner with suppliers to achieve optimal quality and cost outcomes.
Compliance: Ensure all products meet relevant standards, supporting the testing and certification processes.
Project Management: Plan, monitor, and report on project progress, ensuring timelines and budgets are achieved.
Prototype Testing: Validate designs through rigorous testing and create comprehensive technical reports.
Documentation Support: Contribute to technical manuals, BIM files, and sales support materials.
We’re looking for a passionate and innovative Designer (Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer or Product Designer) who thrives on improving products and solving complex engineering challenges. Key attributes include:
Degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design or similar.
Proven experience in product design and project management.
Proficiency in SolidWorks or another leading CAD package (Autodesk Inventor, Solid edge, PTC CREO etc)
Comfortable with both 3D and some 2D CAD work
Able to design to BS EN 8888 standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Enthusiastic, tenacious, and a team player.
