Job Opportunity: Design & Technology Technician at a Kirklees School (Full-Time, Temporary Position)

Are you a skilled Design & Technology (DT) Technician with a passion for education? We are currently recruiting for a DT Technician to join a dynamic school in Kirklees. This full-time, temporary position is set to begin in September 2024 and is expected to be a long-term role.

Role Overview:

As a DT Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Design & Technology department. Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and organising learning materials for practical lessons.

- Maintaining and operating a variety of DT machinery and equipment.

- Ensuring all tools and machinery are in optimal working condition.

- Adhering to and enforcing strict health and safety regulations within the workshop.

Key Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

- Previous experience as a DT Technician within a school environment.

- Proficiency in using relevant machinery and tools typically found in a DT department.

- A solid understanding of health and safety procedures specific to a school workshop setting.
