Renowned for our innovative and sustainable approach, we create bespoke spaces that inspire and meet our clients objectives efficiently. Role Overview: The Estimator will be responsible for producing commercially sound and technically workable estimates for a variety of projects. The role involves tendering, cost planning, and pricing for full lifecycle build projects, ensuring competitive and accurate proposals that align with company standards. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for various build projects, analysing drawings, specifications, and documentation. Manage the tender process, including reviewing opportunities on platforms such as E-Tenders and CIS. Complete PQQs and ensure the prioritisation and completion of tenders to meet deadlines. Produce detailed bills of quantities and perform take-offs based on scope and design documents. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to clarify scope, questions, or changes during the tender process. Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project requirements. Identify opportunities for value engineering through product selection. Analyse supply chain tenders and prices, and provide feedback on successful and unsuccessful bids. Stay updated on building regulations, techniques, and legislation to inform the estimating process. Foster a culture of continuous improvement in estimating and commercial practices. Requirements: Proven experience as an Estimator in the main contracting environment, particularly in retail and commercial project bids. Strong knowledge of building regulations, standards, and construction methodologies. Proficiency in interpreting design documents, drawings, and 3D models. Strong IT skills and the ability to manage multiple tenders to tight deadlines. Full driving license. Team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills. Education & Experience: Relevant technical background or qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or Quantity Surveying. Minimum of 3 years experience in estimating.
