I am thrilled to announce that we are on the outlook for dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Officers to join our team and help manage our financial operations effectively in our schools in and across Chorley Area.
As a Finance Officer, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing the financial aspects of the school. Your duties will include managing day-to-day financial transactions, preparing accurate and timely financial reports, and supporting budget preparation and financial forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the school's accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, financial forecasts, and monthly reports.
- Process and review invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
- Assist with end-of-year financial procedures and annual audits.
- Support senior leaders in financial planning, decision-making, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records for all financial transactions, including income and expenditure.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial legislation and reporting standards.
What qualities are we seeking?
- Proven experience in finance or accounting, ideally within the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial systems.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of school funding and relevant financial legislation is desirable.
Requirements:
- An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
- Legal right to work in the UK.
