Our client is a successful and well-stablished manufacturer. They are currently looking to recruit a Fitter’s Mate / Improver to work with their site-based Installation Engineers, installing products across all their ranges (HVAC / Aire Conditioning), predominately in and around the South of England.



The Fitters Mate will be working closely with a small team, reporting into the Site Manager, based in and around the London area. You will spend most of your time in Hayes for approximately 9 months, but may be required to work at other locations in and around London, in the Southern area.



NOTE - The role will involve working away, typically Monday – Friday. Regular overtime will be required, including travel to accommodation on Sunday evenings.



PLEASE ONLY APPLY FOR THIS ROLE IF:




  • You hold a full, clean, UK driving license (Essential).

  • You have experience of labouring on site in a similar role (Essential).

  • You hold a valid CSCS card (Essential).

  • You hold valid IPAF certification (Desirable).

  • You are happy to work away from home, with some overnight stays (paid for).

  • You are able to start work on the 6th January (give or take a week).

Salary: £14.00 per hour + Overtime (a pay increase is possible after 6 months for good workers)



Standard hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.30pm (with flexibility required based on travel requirements)

Duties / Responsibilities:




  • Work with on-site installation teams, usually in pairs, fitting air handling units and acoustic products.

  • Provide assistance as required to the lead site engineer.

  • Undertake general labouring duties.

  • Working in the factory will be required when there is a shortage of site work.

  • Any other reasonable request.
