General Manager

General Manager required for my client who work within the manufacturing industry and automotive side of engineering, based in Peterborough.

The successful general manager will come into the business and oversee daily operations and assist with the managing of various business aspects of the company. They can come from any particular manufacturing / engineering background, but need a proven history of mangerial managers. As there role will include overlooking four production managers.

General Manager Job Overview

• Manage the production managers and their staff within the Peterborough business - then reporting to the company directors.
• Report company developments directly to the owner of the business.
• Oversee daily operations and assist with the managing of various business aspects of the company.
• Both collate reports and act upon reports received.
• Accompany the company owner to various meetings
• Take responsibility of actions from line manager, sales and client meetings.
• Overlook all departments within the business.

General Manager Job Requirements

• Previous experience managing staff that are at management level.
• 5 + years' experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Previous managerial experience or a formal management background etc; MBA.
• Work independently when needed and have good team communication skills.
• Based within a commutable distance of Peterborough.
• Full UK driving licence.

General Manager Salary & Benefits

• Salary - �50,000 to �70,000 - dependent upon experience, skill and qualifications.
• Full time position - 44 hour working week.
