We are looking for an experienced and motivated Head of Psychology to lead the psychological services at a secure healthcare facility in the York area. This position is ideal for a confident, visionary leader with a background in forensic settings and a commitment to trauma-informed care.

The Role
As the Head of Psychology, you will play a pivotal role in delivering and overseeing exceptional psychological care for patients with complex needs. Working closely with a multidisciplinary senior leadership team, you will ensure the professional practice and quality of the psychology department, contributing to excellent patient outcomes and experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop a psychology team, ensuring high standards of care and psychological practice.
* Work collaboratively with senior leadership to influence service development and delivery.
* Advise on organisational well-being and psychological aspects of service operations.
* Deliver psychological assessments, individual formulations, and evidence-based interventions, including EMDR, DBT, CBT, and CAT.
* Manage a clinical caseload while providing reflective practice groups and training.
* Oversee governance and contribute to clinical quality standards within the service.
* Engage in research and service evaluation, contributing to innovation and best practice.

What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* HCPC registration as a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist with substantial experience in forensic settings.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Expertise in trauma-informed care and delivering a range of therapeutic models.
* Proven ability to manage clinical and organisational projects.
* Excellent consultancy and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire others.
