MERJE is seeking an experienced Income Protection Claims Specialist for a leading Insurance company. This role offers an exciting opportunity to assess complex claims, mentor team members, and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of income protection and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.

The Role

As an Income Protection Claims Specialist, you'll assess complex claims, ensure compliance with industry best practices, and support team development. Key Responsibilities:

• Assess income protection claims, adhering to industry-leading practices and service level agreements
• Draft and issue claims decision letters and related correspondence
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure swift and correct claim outcomes
• Mentor and train new team members
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and system testing

Required knowledge and experience:

• Extensive experience in assessing and managing income protection claims
• Proven track record of dealing with the Financial Ombudsman Service on claims matters
• Experience working with reinsurers
• Strong presentation and training skills
• Detailed knowledge of the UK insurance market and regulatory environment
