Junior Estimator

Junior Estimator required by reputable regional Civil Engineering contractor on a permanent basis. Abatec is a recruitment agency assisting a Civil Engineering client that is well established in the Southwest. Our client is involved in various highways and earthworks schemes and are looking to add to their established team.

As a Junior Estimator you will:

• Be working in a supportive environment as part of a dynamic team responsible preparing multi-million-pound tenders.


• Analyse drawings and produce take offs and bills of quantities


• Prepare and send out tender enquiries to supply chain and review quotations received


• Help build up an accurate cost estimate for the works and assist with preparing the commercial tender for submission to the Client.

Our client requires a Junior Estimator with:

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar.


• Experience of working for a Civil Engineering contractor.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Knowledge of estimating software, ie. Causeway


• 1 or 2 years of civil engineering industry experience

Salary and benefits include:

• �25,000 - �30,000 per annum


• 25 days holiday entitlement + 8 bank holidays


• 3% employer pension contribution, sick pay etc.
