Lead Psychologist

An excellent new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Principal Psychologist to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Thatcham, Berkshire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

The combination of medium secure and low secure units and rehabilitation flats at the hospital provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation

**To be considered for this position you must be registered with the HCPC, BPS accredited and a Chartered Member of the BPS**

As the Principal Psychologist your key responsibilities include:

• Deputising for the Lead Psychologist in their absence
• Taking a key role in service development
• Line Management of specified team members
• Providing robust clinical supervision and support in appraisals and in the professional development of the team
• Providing evidence based psychological assessment
• Provision of 1:1 and group interventions to patients to address a range of needs
• Contributing to MDT care planning and review

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Experience of working in mental health and a strong motivation to work in forensic services
• Experience of working in mental health and complex presentations, including Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, eating disorders and complex traumas
• Able to show a can-do attitude always

The successful Psychologist will receive an excellent salary of £56,000 - £64,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
