Hours of work:

40 hours at £19.54 per hour AND

between 4 and 8 hours on average per week at £29.31 Per hour

Plus company van, mobile phone and Sat-Nav

Working on average between the hours of 9:00 am and 8:30 pm

You are paid per hour from the moment you leave your home until you return home

1 weeks’ notice will be given for scheduled overtime and we are looking for mechanics who want to take the overtime hours as this will suit the business needs

The role will see you operate to and from your home and you will travel throughout the North West and the Lake District areas.

You must only apply if you have relevant Mechanical Qualifications such as City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and hold a class 1 or class 2 licence

Our client is well established company having been in operation for over 70 years and they are specialists in commercial vehicle rental. Their Business has 6 rental depots, with fully equipped, modern maintenance workshops in the North and South of England. From these depots they operate in excess of 2000 vehicles (of which 1000 are above 3.5 tons).

The Mobile HGV Technician role will involve carrying out inspections, routine servicing, testing and repairs of HGV vehicles, and their auxiliary equipment (Crane, Gulleys, Jet Vacs and Hotboxes). You will also need to be able to road test and carry out decelerometer brake tests, professionally and safely. You will be skilled and experienced in investigating and diagnosing faults, reporting findings, and be able to carry out all repairs to the current manufacturers’ standards.

We are looking for a team player to fill this role who will be flexible and able to work to tight deadlines. You must have previous HGV technical experience and can adopt a hands-on approach to all aspects of the role to ensure continued high levels of work are carried out right first time.

MOBILE HGV MECHANIC - SALARY BREAKDOWN:

• 40 hours @ £19.54 per hour (hours as above) = £781.60 per week x 52 weeks    = £40,643.20 per annum

Total Earnings                                                                                                                        = £40,643.20 per annum

+ Non-compulsory overtime available to boost your income:              

• £29.31 x 4 hours per week = £117.24 x 52 weeks                                                   = £#####6.48 per annum     

OR

• £29.31 x 8 hours per week = £234.48 x 52 weeks                                                   = £12,192.96 per annum

Potential Earnings                                                                                                                 c£40,643.20 – £52,192.96 per annum

Additional overtime is sometimes available before 7:00 am & paid at double time               = £39.08 per hour
