Pricing & Manufacturing Estimator

This growing manufacturing business who specialises in bespoke/made to measure items, is seeking a Manufacturing & Pricing Estimator. 

The role will be pricing of products and action customer requests in line with margin targets.  Duties will include: -

• Costing and pricing of products in line with customer requirements


• Assess prices to see where to pitch in on stock price and margin


• Carry out market analysis, by checking historically sold products


• Deal with bespoke orders that are manufactured in-house by analysing historical data on cost, yields, times and margin


• For bespoke, designed items, work out the design by filling in an automated spec sheet, and calculate how big or small the products need to be by calculating material cost, labour cost and pitch a price


• Analyse data and trends


• Maximisation of margin against agreed levels for all lines


• Maximising margin on all quotations


• Evaluating product selling prices are being maximised whilst being competitive


• Evaluating sales and trends of the full product range


• Identifying and monitoring suppliers to be cost effective and value for money


• Negotiate fixed price periods with suppliers


• Identify and deliver cost savings


• Good understanding of margin mix across SKU profile to achieve optimal balance between sales revenue and margin protection


• Generation of a daily Estimating overview report


• Creation and development of processes and systems to calculate costs and margin


• Strong understanding of all operational processes and their impact on cost of manufacturing

To apply you will have: -

• Excellent understanding of materials and packaging costs


• Good knowledge of MS Excel and other warehouse management system


• Confident numeral skills


• Previous pricing analysis, supply chain buying or manufacturing estimator experience would be ideal
