We are enthusiastically looking for professional Receptionists to be the first point of contact for a set of our welcoming and vibrant schools in and across Wigan which are dedicated to supporting both students and staff.
As the Receptionist, you will play a key role in providing a positive first impression of the school, both in person and over the phone. You will be responsible for greeting visitors, answering queries, handling phone calls, managing the school's general inbox, and providing administrative support to staff and senior leaders. You will also assist with student attendance, ensuring that the school office runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
- Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and general inquiries.
- Manage the school's reception area and ensure it is kept tidy and organised.
- Maintain student attendance records and communicate with parents/guardians as necessary.
- Support the admin team with daily administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document preparation.
- Help manage deliveries and incoming posts.
- Assist with student sign-in and sign-out procedures.
- Support the senior leadership team with various school events and tasks.
The role fits you if you have:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A friendly and professional approach to working with students, staff, and parents.
- Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role (ideally within a school or educational setting).
- Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office and school management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a busy environment.
Requirements:
- An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
