Your Role:

  • Support Students: Work with children with varying special educational needs, including those with challenging behaviour.
  • Classroom Assistance: Help with classroom activities, maintaining a safe and positive learning space.
  • Personal Care: Provide necessary personal care, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene support.
  • IEP Implementation: Assist in executing individualised education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of classroom teachers.
  • Encourage Engagement: Foster a nurturing atmosphere to boost student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver comprehensive care and education.

What They're Looking For:

  • Experience with children with special educational needs is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to manage and respond positively to challenging behaviour.
  • Willingness to provide personal care when needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation due to location and off-site activities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a true passion for supporting children with SEN.
