£16,000 - £18,500 (actual salary)

Term time only

I am working with an independent, alternative provision that is seeking Teaching Assistants to join their team on a permanent basis. 

This school specialises in working with students with challenging behaviour who are unable to attend mainstream education. Their focus is to help their students develop the skills required to find future employment and reach their full potential. 

As a Teaching Assistant you will be working under the supervision of the Tutor/ Teacher. You will be working 1:1 with students or in a small group of around 6 students at a time. 

A successful canddiate applying for the Teaching Assistant role will: 

• have 5 GCSE qualifications or equivalents (Maths and English essential)


• Classroom experience


• Planning experience


• Experience working with challenging behaviour


• Understanding of SEN and management individual needs of students


• Understanding of behaviour

You will be the ideal candidate if you also have:

• a Qualification / training in SEN


• Experience in Phonics


• First aid training


• a TA Qualification or experience as a TA.
