Job Description

Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support the transition to Key Stage 2
  • \n
  • Develop pupils’ confidence in core subjects, particularly reading, writing, and maths
  • \n
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel supported
  • \n
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
  • \n
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
  • \n

Ideal Year 2 Teacher:

    \n
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • \n
  • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (or are an Early Career Teacher with a passion for Year 2 learning)
  • \n
  • Are committed to creating a positive and engaging learning experience for all pupils
  • \n
  • Have strong classroom management and communication skills as a Year 2 Teacher
  • \n
  • Are dedicated to supporting children’s academic and personal development
  • \n
