Who is Malala Yousafzai?

She continued to champion education and on her 16th birthday in 2013 delivered a powerful speech at the United Nations. 

In 2014, Malala was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize becoming the youngest-ever recipient at the age of 17. 

Today, Malala continues her fight for education and gender equality through the Malala Fund, an organisation she co-founded with Ziauddin Yousafzai, her father. The fund promotes every girl’s right to twelve years of free, quality education, breaking down barriers that prevent girls from accessing education around the world.
