We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly team within a mainstream Primary School in Lichfield. 


This is a full-time role with an immediate start date and will run for the remainder of this academic year until July 2025. 


Duties



  • Work on a 1-1 basis with a child in EYFS who is non-verbal

  • Engage with children to promote their social, emotional, and academic development.

  • Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional assistance.

  • Communicate effectively with children to encourage participation and understanding of lessons.

  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to assess student progress and adapt teaching methods as needed.


Requirements



  • Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent

  • Experience working with children with SEN within an educational setting is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children and educators.

  • A genuine passion for educating and supporting young learners.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.

  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards children's learning experiences.

Pay: £84.77 - £90  per day (you must have two years EYFS TA experience to qualify for the higher end of the pay scale
