We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our special needs school on the Wirral. This is your chance to make a real difference by providing personalised support to a student, helping them overcome challenges and thrive.

What You'll Do:

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a student based on their specific needs.
• Assist in lessons and activities aligned with the student's education, health, and care (EHC) plan.
• Offer emotional and behavioural support to help the student engage and succeed.
• Build a trusting relationship that encourages confidence and independence.
• Work with teachers to adapt resources and strategies for the student.
• Support during enrichment activities and transitions throughout the school day.

About the School:

Our school is a supportive environment for students aged 11-14 with special educational needs, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Many students have experienced interruptions to their education, and we focus on helping them rebuild confidence and skills.

We offer unique activities like animal care and e-sports to encourage personal growth alongside academic learning.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEMH experience is a plus).
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to manage challenging behaviours calmly and professionally.
