IT Support Engineer - 2nd Line

About the Role:
Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join their dynamic team in Birmingham City Centre. As a key player in the production, assembly, and test facility, you will support cutting-edge technology for defence and industrial markets, including ATEX Lighting and Electrical Distribution.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day IT operations, ensuring the availability and efficiency of all IT systems and services.
* Support users and manage external services provided by third-party suppliers.
* Oversee team activities, ensuring processes run smoothly and SLAs are met.
* Update and patch software to align with security standards.
* Maintain high business security standards.
Technical Requirements:
* Proficiency in Azure
* Experience with Intune / Autopilot
* Strong knowledge of Office 365
* Expertise in Active Directory and Windows 11 deployment
* Hands-on experience with Fortinet Firewalls and networking (routers, firewalls, cabling, patching)
* Familiarity with Group Policies
* Experience with Solidworks/PDM, ideally in a manufacturing environment
* Understanding of Microsoft Business Central (desirable but not essential)
* ITIL certification or experience
What You Need:
* A full UK Driver’s Licence
* Eligibility to work in the UK, specifically British citizenship without dual nationality for security reasons
* At least 3 years of experience in a 2nd and 3rd Line Support role
