3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer – BirminghamWe are seeking a skilled 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer for a leading client based in Birmingham. This role requires onsite presence with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements.As a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across our software, hardware, and networks. You will play a critical role in addressing complex technical issues and supporting our ongoing Cloud transformation project.Key Responsibilities:Manage and maintain the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud servicesProvide third-line support for escalated technical issues, ensuring timely resolutionImplement and oversee security measures, including access controls, backups, and firewallsConduct system upgrades and integrate new releases and modelsMonitor system performance and perform necessary maintenanceDeploy and configure software and hardware systemsHandle cloud landing zones, user administration, and cloud compute servicesCreate and manage user accounts and configure workstationsTrain staff on new technologies and best practicesMaintain technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies in an internal wikiKey Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience in roles such as 3rd Line Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar positionsProficiency in databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch managementStrong understanding of system security, including intrusion detection systems, and data backup and recoveryExpertise in deploying and configuring software and hardware systemsExperience managing network servers and technology toolsFamiliarity with cloud services and related toolsProficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Perl, or othersKnowledge of various operating systems and platformsExcellent problem-solving abilities and resourcefulnessOutstanding communication skillsInterested!?!
