7.5 Driver

My client, a large expanding distribution company based in Mallusk is seeking a 7.5 delivery driver for an immediate start. This role will be on a temporary to permanent basis Working hours: Monday - Friday 7am start to finish (hours worked over 40hrs are paid at O/T rate) Rate of Pay: £12.85/hr paid weekly plus £5 lunch money per day Essential Criteria Minimum of 2 years delivering of goods to customer sites Multidrop deliveries Good geographical knowledge of NI Knowledge of Driver / Warehouse Health & Safety including safe manual handling techniques Follow written / verbal instructions. Methodical approach to work Work independently on own initiative. Working within a team Time Management Strong Communication skills Desirable Criteria Current C1 category & CPC licence Job Role & Duties Collect finished goods, check products received conform with Shipment paperwork provided and sign for receipt Visually check products prior to loading to confirm condition is satisfactory and product/quantity correct to documentation. Load vehicles in a safe manner in accordance with the allocated delivery route. Highlight immediately any discrepancies or products that cannot be included on the vehicles to Warehouse Manager/Supervisor so that necessary action can be taken prior to leaving the site. Deliver goods to the customer (at location requested), obtain customer's signature for receipt/condition/quantity, and return the signed documentation to Warehouse Manager daily. Document clearly any delivery discrepancies or non-acceptance of goods and advise Warehouse Manager immediately upon return to the warehouse Uplift product from customer sites as per documentation and Warehouse Manager instructions, or if uplift is not prearranged, contact office to obtain permission to collect the goods. Prior to uplift, check returns (product/quantity) match documentation provided whilst ensuring that all non-quality related returns are undamaged with boxes / sleeves unopened. Return paperwork and uplifted product to quarantine area, or if labels, to the company Undertake any such additional duties necessary for the efficient & safe operation of the Warehouse, or for the changing needs of the business, such as, providing cover for work colleagues and completing auxiliary duties, e.g., collecting raw material for production, assisting in picking orders and cleaning the Warehouse. Maintain vehicle, e.g., clean interior and exterior plus conduct regular maintenance checks and report any vehicle faults to Warehouse Manager in expedient manner. Provide valid receipts for any expenses (e.g., food) to Accounts on daily / weekly basis. Comply with Highway code, legal & road safety obligations and customer vehicle site rules.
