7.5t Driver/Yardperson

Backline Logistics are seeking a 7.5t Driver/ Yard Person to join an expanding team in Ivybridge, Devon on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a valid 7.5t/ C1 licence, previous experience of working in a building materials yard, and wants a mix of driving and yard duties. Up to date CPC and valid Driver’s qualification card is highly desirable, but free CPC training can be arranged for the right candidate.

Main duties include driving the 7.5t goods vehicle to deliver building materials to sites and client addresses and general yard work. E.g., loading and unloading vehicles, maintaining health and safety standards, and customer service.

This is a part-time position; you will be expected to work from 08:00am until 17:00pm two days a week (16 hours in total). The rate of pay is £12.50 per hour PAYE.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• You must hold a full UK 7.5t/ Category C1 Licence or HGV Class 2 / Category C Licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points.


• You must hold a current and valid CPC and digital tachograph card.


• Possess a broad knowledge of driving rules and regulations.


• Be clean and professional at all times.


• Possess good written and spoken communication skills.


• Be physically fit and healthy as this role will include handball.
