The College and Role

Vision for Education is working closely with a client college in Hartlepool to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated A Level English Teacher to cover a maternity leave from May 2025 to December 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students in their post-16 studies, delivering high-quality English lessons that prepare them for their future academic and career aspirations.

As an A Level English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that support students' progress and attainment. You will have the ability to inspire a passion for literature, language, and analytical thinking, helping students to develop their critical reading and writing skills. The successful candidate will be an experienced and committed educator who can foster a supportive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/ QTS/QTLS).

• 
  

  Experience teaching A Level English Language and/or English Literature.

• 
  

  A strong understanding of the A Level curriculum and assessment requirements.

• 
  

  A passion for education and the ability to engage and inspire post-16 students.

• 
  

  Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
