We are recruiting full-time Abattoir Operatives for a leading meat product manufacturer in Westerleigh.

Working for a company responsible for some of the UK’s most iconic food brands, the ideal candidates will be focused, driven and keen to learn new skills.

Successful applicants will be trained across relevant areas of food manufacturing and will be responsible for complying with health, safety and hygiene regulations at all times.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Operating equipment and machinery (which could include knife/bladed machinery) to prepare carcass for chilling
• Following training in food safety to ensure the production of high-quality, food-safe products
• Following health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all
• Completing training in knife safety
• Completing tasks as efficiently as possible
• Working as part of a team, demonstrating a positive attitude and sharing knowledge
• Working flexibly across multiple roles and areas within the Abattoir to ensure service levels are met

Previous experience would be beneficial for this role. The successful applicant(s) will need to be flexible and use a variety of skills. They will need to understand quality, product and safety requirements, and be able to cope with unforeseen situations which may arise.

Hours / shifts:

The vacancies are full-time (40 hours per week) on a regular shift pattern. Times worked may slightly due to job rotation
