Air Conditioning Engineer (North West)

J Squared Solutions is proud to represent our client in their search for a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer. This is a full-time, mobile role that will see you working across various commercial client sites in the North West.
Role Overview
As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance services. You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across our client’s commercial properties, ensuring minimal disruption to their operations. This is a remote role, so you will need a full UK driving license with zero points.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems, including VRVs, VRFs, Splits, and Chillers.
* Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks as directed.
* Ensure accurate timesheet reporting and assist with facilities maintenance when necessary.
* Participate in a 24-hour on-call rota (maximum 1 week in 4).
* Provide support and guidance to junior engineers and act as second-man where needed.
* Maintain professional client relationships on-site and provide quality feedback for additional works where required.
* Produce technical and situational reports as needed, escalating major site issues through appropriate channels.
Requirements:
Essential:
* Proven experience with a range of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems.
* FGAS Cat 1 qualification and NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
* Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and Health & Safety in maintenance.
* Basic plumbing and building material knowledge.
* Asbestos awareness.
Desirable:
* IPAF & PASMA qualifications.
* Part P Electrical certification.

Working Hours:
* Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm).
* Early starts, late finishes, and occasional night shifts may be required to meet client needs.
