Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join The Academy at Norwich City Football Club in the role of Foundation Phase Coach on a part time basis. This is an excellent role for someone who is passionate about developing young footballers.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    \n
  • Delivery of the (Foundation Phase specific) Football Curriculum
  • \n
  • Ensure coach to player ratio of 1:10 exists within training sessions
  • \n
  • Manage and monitor Foundation Phase Players Individual Development Plans.
  • \n
  • Assist with player reviews every 6/12 weeks
  • \n
  • Assist in the identification and recruitment (within Foundation Phase) of talented young players into the Academy system
  • \n
  • Formal session plans to be produced and recorded for every session delivered
  • \n
  • Match preparation and evaluation to be conducted and recorded for all fixtures
  • \n
  • Administration within the Foundation Phase
  • \n
  • To act in a manner that supports the Club’s Values of Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride and Commitment
  • \n

Essential

    \n
  • UEFA B Licence
  • \n
  • FA Advanced Youth Award
  • \n
  • Up to date EFAiF or BFAS Qualification
  • \n
  • Up to date FA Safeguarding Children Workshop
  • \n
  • Experience in coaching and recruitment of players
  • \n
  • Availability for flexible working hours
  • \n
  • Excellent people management skills
  • \n
  • Strong IT and presentation skills
  • \n
  • Willing to follow and promote the Club philosophy
  • \n

Desirable

    \n
  • UEFA A Licence
  • \n
  • Relevant Degree Qualification
  • \n
  • Experience of a similar role within the game
  • \n
  • Knowledge of the FA and Premier League Rules and Regulations regarding Academies.
  • \n
