We are working in partnership with our Client to find an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them on a permanent, full-time basis at their offices in Philipstoun, West Lothian. Our Client is a highly successful and growing organisation operating in the Transport/Logistics sector. �
The Accounts Assistant will work within the Finance Team and reports to the Management Accountant. �The role will involve:
- Management of Purchase Ledger
- Posting�Supplier Invoices for Approval
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Weekly supplier payment run
- Resolution of supplier queries on a timely basis
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers
- Develop reporting on spending
- Credit card posting and reconciliation
- Employee expense claims
- Credit control
- Assistance with monthly payroll
- Daily reconciliation of bank accounts
- Month end duties�
- Overview of sales ledger processes
- General admin work supporting director / senior managers
This is a busy and challenging role which will suit someone who has the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Good working knowledge of IT and Microsoft Office
- Strong accounting systems experience��
- Personable and able to build relationships across the business
- Able to integrate into a small team
- Self-motivated, diligent, and trustworthy
- Excellent communication skills
It would also be desirable, but not essential, if you have any�of the following:
- A relevant Accounting qualification (AAT, HND or�HNC)
- Xero Software
- Payroll�
- Some knowledge of Transport Operations
