Our opportunity: We are looking for an Account Director to join our growing Advocacy Local team. Ideal for someone who thrives on working on some of the largest and most exciting infrastructure projects currently proposed in the UK. What you'll be doing: You will use your skills and experience of the built environment and infrastructure sectors to lead a variety of accounts, owning responsibility for activity; managing client accounts, including working across sectors within SEC Newgate and working closely with junior staff and senior management. As an Account Director, you will be expected to: Take day to day responsibility for strategic accounts and client relationships Develop and deliver industry leading programmes of stakeholder and community engagement, public consultation and local and national public affairs Support the growth of the energy, transport and infrastructure practice by actively identifying and pursuing new business leads and supporting the company's marketing Embed your knowledge of best practice in consultation and engagement and your sector knowledge into the team, acting as a mentor to early careers talent Line manage Account Managers and Executives and play a leading role in their professional development Act as a key support to the energy, transport and infrastructure practice lead Ideal for you, if you have: a good track record of developing and delivering programmes of stakeholder and community engagement, public consultation and local and national public affairs, either at an agency or in-house ideally, some experience working on energy, transport and infrastructure projects, including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) demonstrable confidence in building and managing relationships with clients and stakeholders proven ability to think strategically, to manage projects and workstreams and to deliver client-ready documents and events a burgeoning network of client, sector, stakeholder and media contacts which will continue to grow experience of actively nurturing and developing members of their team and ideally has some experience line managing them a collaborative and flexible approach to managing a team an enthusiastic mindset about supporting our clients' mission to deliver the net zero transition More reasons to apply: Our people are at the heart of everything we do and their experience at SEC Newgate is so important to us.
