Account Director (Carrier/SI)

Location: London/Hybrid

Salary: £80k to £100k basic, £160k to £200k OTE and excellent benefits.

Our client is a leading pan-European bandwidth infrastructure provider. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for managing and growing a crucial customer base as well as winning new business opportunities.

Your knowledge of the Carrier, Data Centre and System/Solutions Integrator markets across the territory will help you win new customers but also provide you with the chance to have a strategic input into potential areas of network expansion, that can support these markets in UK and Europe.

You will be able to significantly grow the revenue from existing customers through up-selling and cross-selling a suite of Fibre products and services which includes a number of new connections and products. You will have the support of their excellent Sales Engineering team, which includes multiple engineers and additional account support for these accounts. You will work closely with the Network Development, A&E, and Product teams to achieve your goals and have the opportunity to build strong relationships within the customer base

Main Focus

* Up-sell and cross-sell the suite of products and services to existing customers and prospects

* Prospect and win new logos/customers

* Recognise, evaluate and capitalise on potential opportunities for additional business within accounts

* Pro-actively reach out to customers and prospects, with the aim to build relationships, sell services and prevent revenue churn

* Leading the virtual team supporting your accounts, both in terms of BAU (Business as Usual) operations and future development, including integration, automation, and innovative new products and solutions.

Required experience/skills:

* Experience managing complex accounts in the digital infrastructure, wholesale space

* 10 years + of account management experience within a Systems/Solutions Integrator or Telecommunication company is a must

* Understanding fibre connectivity (Various Models)

* Great commercial drive and result/Goal oriented

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ambition to succeed, develop and grow

* Excellent influencing and negotiation skills

* Highly organised with a strong attention to detail

* Bachelor’s degree

* Self-motivated, team player, persistent, follow through and never give up
