Account Director - Central GovernmentPrimis is partnered with a leading player in the public sector, supporting numerous clients in their digital, data, and technology transformations. They offer specialized expertise, design innovative solutions, and partner with major players like Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, and IBM to deliver tangible results.They are seeking an Account Director to engage and develop central government customers and supporting agencies in the UK. This is a critical role for a motivated individual who wants to join an established team and drive new opportunities, build strategic relationships, secure new clients, and improve customer engagement. Key Responsibilities:Develop targeted account plans to maximize opportunities with new and existing clients.Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels with named clients.Establish a robust pipeline of qualified business opportunities.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, assisting in the development of IT strategies and connecting them with senior management and experts.Provide proactive value and thought leadership on technology and sector trends.Utilize existing frameworks to streamline contracting processes.Develop ROI models to demonstrate financial benefits to clients.Collaborate with strategic partners and vendors to leverage opportunities and networks.Manage the commercial relationship, including aged debt, payments, and business conditions.Additional Responsibilities:Champion customer engagement and improve customer experience.Encourage changes in the client's product and service usage.Support the development of new products and services.Proactively contribute to the regional sales strategy.Communicate the social value of working with the client.Qualifications:Experience in central government sales in the UK with the ability to build trust and inspire clients.A track record of winning new government contracts in a competitive environment.Existing stakeholder relationships within the UK public sector.Skill in shaping multiple business development opportunities.Understanding of IT, digital, and data needs in the local government sector.Experience with Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, and public sector frameworks.Ability to develop pricing and business case models.Strong planning, communication, and presentation skills.Familiarity with local government organization structures and business environments.Customer-focused with a professional services orientation.Quickly gain comprehensive knowledge of customer organizations and requirements.
